It is said that a picture can paint a thousand words. This can also be said of food. Food has the ability to set the mood; provide the main aspect of a celebration or just be in the background, there to satisfy and fulfill. There are endless varieties of food throughout the world  and a lot of them can be found in most towns in the UK. An excellent use of recipes and food is during a celebration or when you are entertaining guests. Dinner parties are an English tradition; and so are takeaways. But whether you are ordering in a pizza or creating a lavish three course meal for you dinner guests it is important that you enjoy it and that the type of food you are serving fits the needs of the guests.

One of the best ways of doing this is at one of the many food festivals that take place throughout the country every year. One of the food festivals that was recently held was the Halal Food Festival. It was the first of its kind to be held in the UK and offered anybody who attended had the chance to explore the variety of halal food that was on offer. There were over 100 exhibitors from all over the world and the opportunity to sample food and drink from street-food stalls to restaurants.

Some of the food that was available to be sampled included Bengali mutton and green spiced chicken fenugreek; whilst the guests also had that opportunity to make their own halal ‘mocktails’ under the guidance of professionals whilst using exotic ingredients and juices.

There were a number of business and private suppliers of halal meet at the festival, many of which offer their services online. So not only did guests leave the festival with many ideas for recipes that they may like to make with their families; they also had a way of getting the ingredients.
