Sheek Kabab Recipe (sheek kebab recipe) is skewered spicy minced meat (grilled). Sheek Kabab Recipe (sheek kabob) also known as Kabab, koobideh, kofte etc… in Middle East.

Cooking Time: Appr. 20 Minutes
Serves: 3-4 People

Sheek Kabab Recipe

Ingredients:

500 gram Lamb Mince (Kheema)
1 medium onion
2 green chillies
3-4 garlic cloves
½ inch ginger
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoon finely chopped coriander
Salt to taste

Cooking Method:

1. Chop the onion and green chillies.

2. Peel the ginger and grate or crush it. Grate or crush the garlic.

3. Wash the lamb mince (kheema) and gently squeeze the water out.

4. Mix all the ingredients to the kheema and mix well (knead it). Keep aside for an hour.

5. Heat the oven at 220 degree Celsius with the metal skewers.

6. Now take kheema mixture and hold a hot skewer carefully in the other hand. Press the lamb mince on to a hot skewer. The kheema will easily stick to the hot skewer as skewers are hot. (You can make long strings shape to make sheek kabab with hands, if you don’t want to use skewers.)

7. Repeat with left over mince on all the other skewers.

8. Place the skewers in the oven. Keep rotating the skewers occasionally. It will probably take 15-20 mins to cook.

9. When sheek kabab is cooked, gently remove the kababs from the skewers.

Serve sheek kabab hot with chips, salad, in a wrap, naan bread or as it is with some dip or mint chutney.

Variation Tips:

You can add chopped thyme, rosemary, basil, mint or any fresh herbs to make sheek kabob.
