This Prawn Fry Recipe is similar to Prawn Stir Fry recipe. This recipe only takes 15 minutes to cook and it is one of the easy shrimp dishes.

Cooking Time: Appr. 15 Minutes
Serves: 4 People

Prawn Fry RecipeIngredients:

20 cleaned and washed king prawn
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 bunch spring onion
2 green chilli (optional)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
½ teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon sesame oil (or peanut oil)
Spring onion greens for garnish
Salt to taste

Cooking Method:

1. Wash and clean the  king prawn.

2. Marinate the cleaned prawns in tomato ketchup, vinegar, soya sauce, sugar, salt and red chilli powder for 20 at least mins. This marinade can be also used in prawn masala fry.

3. Mince the garlic and ginger.

4. Chop the spring onions and green chillies.

5. Heat the oil in a pan or wok properly, swirl it all over. Add the minced garlic and ginger and stir for a few seconds.

6. Add the chopped spring onion (keep some spring onions for garnish aside) and green chillies, cook for 2 mins, keep stirring.

7. Add the marinated prawns along with any leftover marinating and cook on high heat for a minute without stirring it.

8. Flip the other side and cook for another minute. Cooking prawn on each side will make it bit crunchy on skin.

9. Combine once again and cook on medium heat for 3 mins or till done, keep stirring. Sprinkle some salt on it.

10. Finally turn the heat off and garnish with spring onions greens. The same way fry the prawn for prawns fried rice.

Serve prawn fry recipe hot as starter or as a stir fry.
