Potato Peas Patties (Aloo Chana Patties or Chana Aloo Tikki)Ingredients:

3 large potatoes
1 cup dried green peas (or fresh green peas)
2 tablespoon corn flour
2 onions
1 chopped green chilli (Optional)
¼ cup chopped methi leaves (fenugreek leaves)
¼ cup chopped coriander leaves
½ teaspoon chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon chaat masala (or 2 tablespoon lemon juice)

How To Make Potato Peas Patties (Aloo Chana Patties or Chana Aloo Tikki):

1. Soak the dried green peas under the water overnight. Wash and drain it, boil with water until the peas are soft and mushy. For fresh green peas, boil for 10 mins in water and drain.
2. Boil the potatoes, peel and mash it. Chop the onions.
3. Mash the boiled green peas in a large bowl (don’t need to mash it properly). Add all ingredients from the list apart of oil. Knead it to mix it well.
4. Divide into 12-14 equal portions. Roll out each portion in your palm and press gently to make tikki shape. Finish making all potato peas patties. If the mix is too sticky to make patties, add some more corn flour or spread some oil in your palm to make patties.
5. Shallow fry all patties spreading some oil on a non-stick pan or tawa till the patties are golden brown and crisp.
Serve warm Aloo Chana Patties with green chutney or place in burger with salad.
