Potato Celery Soup is very cheesy and creamy in taste as this celery soup is cooked with milk, yogurt and cheese.

Cooking Time: Appr. 30 Minutes
Serves: 4 People

Potato Celery Soup


2 tablespoon butter
1 medium potato
2 large onions
4 celery sticks
2 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon chopped rosemary
2 tablespoon plain flour
2 vegetable stock cubes
1 cup milk
½ cup grated cheddar
½ cup plain yogurt
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Celery leaves for garnish

Potato Celery Soup Recipe

Cooking Method:

1. Peel the potato and onion and chop them finely.

2. Chop the garlic and celery.

3. Heat the butter in a large pan. Add chopped garlic and chopped rosemary and stir for a minute.

4. Add chopped potato, onion and celery. Saute for 5-7 mins. Keep stirring.

5. Meanwhile heat a small pan with a glass of water and add vegetable cubes. Bring it to boil and boil until vegetable stocks dissolve properly.

6. Add the plain flour. Stir and cook for a minute.

7. Now add boiled vegetable stock water and milk. Bring it to boil.

8. Reduce the heat and simmer it. Add grated cheddar and simmer for 15 mins.

9. Whisk the yogurt and add it the potato celery soup and cook for another 2 mins.

10. Finally turn off the heat and garnish potato celery soup recipe with celery leaves.

Serve potato celery soup hot the way you want with bread rolls or without it.
