Perfect Roast Potatoes is perfect side for the roast dinner. This Perfect Roast Potatoes are coated with corn flour and sunflower oil and roasted with grated cheddar.

Cooking Time: Appr. An Hour
Serves: 4-5 People

Perfect Roast Potatoes


1.5kg maris piper potatoes
2 tablespoon corn flour
2 tablespoon sunflower oil
¼ cup grated mature cheddar

Cooking Method:

1. Peel and cut the potatoes in half or quarter (if they are too big)

2. In a large pan, add potatoes and cover with the cold water. Heat it until simmering. Simmer and cover for 5 mins.

3. Preheat the oven at 220 degree C.

4. Drain and put it back to the same pan. Heat it on low heat for a minute until the moisture disappeared.

5. Sprinkle the corn flour. Cover the pan with the lid and shake until the potatoes coat with corn flour.

6. Heat the oil in a roasting pan, add the potatoes and turn them over to coat with oil.

7. Roast the potatoes in preheated oven for 30 mins. After 30 mins turn them over and Sprinkle the grated cheddar over the perfect roast potatoes. Roast it for further 20-30 mins until golden crust on outside of the potatoes.

Serve Perfect Roast Potatoes sprinkling some sea salt over it as a side dish.
