Paneer Korma is a popular korma curry recipe. Paneer Korma is cooked in creamy sauce with coconut, cashew and cream.

Cooking Time: Appr. 30 Minutes
Serves: 2-3 People

Paneer Korma Ingredients:

350 gram Paneer (cottage cheese)
¼ cup grated coconut (or coconut milk)
2 tomatoes
2 onions
1 teaspoon chilli powder
½ cup fresh cream
½ teaspoon cumin powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 cardamoms
3 tablespoon butter
8-10 cashew nut paste
3 tablespoon chopped coriander
Salt to taste

Paneer Korma RecipeCooking Method:

1. Cut paneer in small rectangle pieces. Heat the frying pan and cook all paneer pieces cook it each side until it golden brown (without oil). Soak paneer in salted hot water for 15 mins, this way paneer will turn out soft for paneer korma recipe (instead of frying paneer, roasting like this makes paneer recipes healthier) .

2. Grate the onions. Boil the tomatoes in hot water for 10 mins, after 10 mins, remove the skin and chop the tomatoes in fine pieces.

3. For the korma sauce recipe, heat the butter in a pan, add cardamom. When cardamoms start sizzling or puffing like a balloon, add garlic and ginger paste. Stir it for few mins.

4. Add the grated onions. Stir and cook for 5-7 mins.

5. Add the tomatoes and grated coconut (or coconut milk). Cook for at least 3-5 mins.

6. Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and 2 tablespoon chopped coriander. Stir for a 3-4 mins.

7. Add the paneer pieces, cream, cashew nut paste and salt. Mix well with the korma sauce. Cook the paneer korma covering the lid for 2-3 mins on medium or slow heat.

8. Finally turn off the heat and garnish paneer kurma with chopped coriander.

Serve hot Paneer Korma with chapatti, naan bread or paratha.
