Mirchi Bajji Recipe (chilli bajji recipe) is deep fried stuffed chilli pakora.

Cooking Time: Appr. 15-20 Minutes
Serves: 3-4 People

Mirchi Bajji Recipe Ingredients:

10 Poblano peppers (chillies) or any chilli you wish (mirchi)

For the Mirchi Bajji Stuffing:

2 tablespoon sesame seeds (til)
2 tablespoon coriander seeds (khada dhania dana)
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
2 tablespoon Tamarind pulp (imli ka pulp)
½ cup sev (fried gram flour noodles) or crushed fafda
Salt to taste

For the Batter:

½ cup gram flour (besan)
½ teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
1 teaspoon lemon juice (nimbu ka ras)
¼ teaspoon asafoetida (hing powder)
Salt to taste

Mirchi BajjiHow To Cook Mirchi Bajji Recipe (Chilli Bajji Recipe):

1. To make mirchi bajji batter, Mix the gram flour, asafoetida (hing powder), lemon juice, salt and some water in a bowl. Be careful by adding water; do not make it too runny or thicker. You need to maintain the consistency to form the mix. It should be smooth paste. Leave it aside.

2. Wash and wipe the chillies.

3. Slit the chillies length-wise and remove the seeds. Keep aside all chillies.

4. For mirchi bajji stuffing, roast the sesame seeds, coriander seeds and cumin seeds for 3-4 mins. Keep stirring to avoid burning. Grind the mix of all seeds to make coarse powder.

5. Take the sev (fried gram flour noodles) or crushed fafda in a bowl. Add the seeds coarse powder, salt and tamarind pulp. Mix well this mirchi bajji stuffing.

6. Stuff all the chillies with the stuffing and squeeze in between fingers and palm to seal it.

7. Heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is heated, Dip the mirchi bhaji in the batter (make sure the batter is fully covered on chillies) and add to fry one by one depends on the size of the pan.

8. Fry mirchi bhajji until it is golden brown. Place on the kitchen paper to absorb access oil.

Serve the stuffed mirchi bajji with any chutney or sauce.
