Methi Mutter Malai Recipe is very creamy in taste. Methi means fenugreek, Mutter means green peas and Malai means cream.

Serves: 2 persons

Methi Mutter Malai RecipeIngredients:

1 cup fresh handpicked fenugreek leaves from the bunch (methi)
1 cup green peas
2 large onions
½ cup tomato puree
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
4 tablespoon yogurt
½ cup thick cream
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon sugar
1tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon chopped coriander for garnish or cream
Salt as needed

Cooking Method:

1. Do not cut the fenugreek leaves (methi). Just separate each leaves from the fenugreek (methi) bunch and wash it. Whole fenugreek leaves (methi) makes better taste recipe of methi mutter malai but it is up to you can chop fenugreek leaves (methi), if you want to.

2. Chop the onion.

3. Boil the green peas in water for 10 mins.

4. Boil the milk and keep boiling until it is left half cup.

5. Heat the butter in the pan and add chopped onion and cook it for 5 mins.

6. Now add garlic and ginger paste. Cook and stir for 2 mins.

7. Add fenugreek leaves (methi) and mix well. Cook and stir for 2 mins.

8. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and stir well.

9. Add yogurt, salt and sugar. Mix it well. Cook it for 2-3 mins.

10. Now add boiled milk and green peas. Let it simmer for 5-7 mins.

11. Add cream and mix well. Cook methi mutter for 5 mins covering the lid.

12. Finally turn off the heat and give methi mutter a good stir. Garnish with chopped coriander or cream.

Serve hot this methi malai recipe with naan , chapatti or rice.
