Hot Garlic Sauce Recipe is perfect sauce to make different kind of Chinese recipes or as a hot dipping sauce.

Cooking Time: Appr. 10 Minutes
Serves: 3-4 People

Hot Garlic Sauce

Ingredients:

1 big garlic head
4 whole dry red chillies
2 inch ginger
5 stalks of spring onion or ½ white or yellow onion
2 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon soya sauce
6 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoon corn flour
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Salt to taste
Water as needed

Cooking Method:

1. Soak the whole dry chilli in little hot water for ½ an hour. Then grind to make a paste with the same the water which the chilli was soaked in.

2. Peel the ginger and garlic and chop them. You can mince or chop them finely.

3. Chop the spring onion. We only required whites from the spring onions and if you are not using greens from the spring onions in other recipe or making this hot garlic sauce for dipping, it will be waste for that reason you can use white or yellow onion. Chop it finely.

4. In a mixing bowl, add tomato ketchup, chilli paste, vinegar, soya sauce and sugar. Mix well and keep aside.

5. Dissolve the corn flour with the cold water.

6. Heat the oil in a wok or pan. Add the minced or chopped ginger and garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.

7. Add the chopped onion whites and sauté till transparent.

8. Now add the sauce mixer to the kadai and stir fry for a minute.

9. Add the dissolved corn flour to the pan/wok and cook on high heat until the corn flour is cooked about 3-4 mins. Keep stirring the hot garlic sauce. Add the salt, if required.

Serve hot garlic sauce recipe as a dip or make Chinese recipes using it.
