Crispy Bhindi is basically battered fried okra. Crispy and crunchy in texture and taste.

Cooking Time : Appr. 15 Minutes
Serves: 2-3 People

Crispy Bhindi

Ingredients:

250g okra (bhindi)
1 tablespoon Corn flour
2 tablespoon gram flour (chickpea flour, Besan)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

Crispy Bhindi

Cooking Method:

1. Wash and wipe the okra (bhindi).

2. Slit the okra (bhindi) lengthwise, cut from the middle to make half-half. Now thinly slice them lengthwise.

3. Take the okra pieces in a large mixing bowl. Add the lemon juice to the okra and mix well.

4. Add all dried ingredients and toss them gently until okra pieces coated well with flour and spices. Don’t add water, batter will be wet enough to coat bhindi.

5. Heat the oil in a pan. Fry them until bhindi is crispy in batches.

6. Place the crispy bhindi on kitchen paper to get rid of access oil.

Serve crispy bhindi hot with your choice dip or chutney or as it is.
