Chicken Mushroom Curry Recipe is easy chicken curry recipe with mushroom in it and with fewer ingredients.

Chicken Mushroom Curry Recipe


350g boneless chicken
350g button mushrooms
2 large onions
¼ cup tomato paste/puree
2-3 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger
1 tablespoon plain flour
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1½ teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Some fresh chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Water as needed

Chicken Mushroom Curry Recipe

Cooking Method:

1. Cut the chicken in small pieces. Marinade chicken in lemon juice for 10-15 mins.

2. Crush the garlic. Peel the ginger and grate or crush it.

3. Cut the mushrooms in halves or quarters.

4. Chop the onions.

5. Heat the oil in a pan and add the crushed garlic and grated or crushed ginger. Stir it for 30 secs.

6. Add the chopped onions. Stir and cook until they are golden brown.

7. Add the chicken pieces. Cook for 10 mins. Stir in between.

8. Add the mushrooms and cook for 10 mins. Stir in between.

9. Add tomato paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Mix well and cook until the oil separated on sides.

10. Meanwhile mix the plain flour with cup water and make sure there no lumps.

11. Add the dissolved plain flour in to the pan and keep stirring until flour is cooked. Add some water, if gravy is too thick.

12. Add the salt and garam masala powder. Simmer the chicken mushroom curry for 5 mins. Stir in between.

13. Garnish chicken mushroom curry recipe with chopped coriander and mix well before serving.

Serve chicken mushroom curry recipe hot with chapatti, naan bread or rice.
