Cabbage Curry Recipe is cooked with potatoes and garnish with tomatoes. This cabbage curry is simple and dry curry.

Cooking Time: Appr. 20 Minutes

Cabbage Curry Recipe


1 small cabbage
2 medium potatoes
2 large tomatoes
3-4 green chillies
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste

Potato Cabbage Curry

Cooking Method:

1. Finely chop the cabbage. Peel the potatoes and cut in very small cubes.

2. Heat the oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. When seeds crackle, add sliced cabbage and potato cubes.

3. Cover the lid and cook potato cabbage curry for 10 mins. Stir in between and let the steam water goes inside when you lift the lid out.

4. Slit the chillies lengthwise.

5. Now add chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Cook for another 5-8 mins until cabbage and potatoes are cooked. Add some oil, if required. Keep stirring in between to avoid vegetables sticking to the pan.

6. Chop the tomatoes.

7. Finally turn the heat off. Add the chopped tomatoes to curried cabbage and mix well.

Serve Cabbage Curry Recipe hot with chapatti, paratha or pilau rice.
