Bread Upma Recipe (Bread Poha Recipe)

Ingredients:

4 bread slices (white or brown whichever you prefer)
1 red onion
1 fresh red or green chilli
1 green pepper (green bell pepper, capsicum)
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste

Cooking Method:

1. Cut the breads in small cubes. You can remove the crust, if you don’t like it.

2. Chop the onion and red chilli finely.

3. Chop the green pepper (green bell pepper, capsicum) finely.

4. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the chopped onions and cook until it gets transparent. Stir in between.

5. Add the chopped green pepper (green bell pepper, capsicum) and chopped fresh green or red chilli. Stir for 2-3 mins.

6. Add the turmeric powder and lemon juice. Stir for a minute.

7. Add the salt and sugar. Mix well.

8. Add the bread cubes and mix well. Sprinkle some water, if bread upma recipe (bread poha recipe) gets too dried.

Serve bread upma recipe (bread poha recipe) warm as a breakfast.
