Bhel Puri Recipe is chaat recipe, a combination of papdis, puffed rice, sev, onions, potatoes, chick peas and chutneys. Bhel Puri is widely sold chaat across the country and most popular chaat recipe too.

Serves: 2 People

Bhel Puri Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup puffed rice
1 chopped tomato
1 chopped Onion
¼ cup chopped Coriander Leaves
1 large boiled and mashed Potato (Aloo)
½ cup boiled chick peas
¼ cup tamarind chutney
¼ cup green chutney
½ cup Sev (deep fried gram flour noodles)
6-7 crushed papdis
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon chaat masala powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder

Bhel Puri Mix

Bhel Puri Method:

1. Take a large bowl for bhel puri mix.

2. First add mashed potato, boiled chick peas, green chutney, tamarind chutney, red chilli powder, chaat masala powder and lemon juice. Mix well.

3. Then add chopped onion and tomato. Mix well.

4. Now add puffed rice. Give it a quick mix.

5. Add crushed papdi and sev (deep fried gram flour noodles) to the bhel puri mix.

6. Finally garnish with coriander leaves. You can add some chutneys on the top, if you wish.

Serve the bhel puri immediately.

Variation Tips:

The ingredients list may look long but get chutneys and papdi (papdi also available in all major supermarket and Asian grocery store) ready in advance. Once the ingredients are ready all you need to do mix it all together.

You can also add chopped raw mango for the tangy bhel puri recipe.

The measurement can be adjusted according to your taste for chutneys, spices and other ingredients.
