This Beer Can Chicken Recipe is slow roasted and with the rub of thyme, garlic, ginger and chilli.

Cooking Time: Appr. 1 hr and 45 Minutes
Serve: 2 people

Beer Can Chicken RecipeIngredients:

1 whole small chicken
4 garlic cloves
1½ inch ginger
2 green chillies
25 grams fresh thyme
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed black pepper
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon lemon juice
½ can beer/lager

Beer Can Chicken Cooking Method:

1. Crush the garlic and peel the ginger. Crush ½ inch ginger.

2. Chop the chillies. Separate the thyme leaves from the branch and chop it.

3. Make the chicken rub of chopped thyme, paprika powder, chopped chillies, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, crushed black pepper, crushed garlic and ginger to make wet paste.

4. Wash the whole chicken and dry it.

5. Clean the exterior the can thoroughly under the hot water. Open the can of beer and take out half of can beer.

6. Chop the ginger on small pieces. Put the ginger pieces in the can then place it on the beer can chicken roaster or into normal baking tray.

7. Place the chicken onto the beer can. Cover the chicken with the chicken rub. Press the rub to the chicken. So the rub sticks with the chicken.

8. Roast the chicken on low temperature (around 120 degree Celsius) for approximately 1hr and 45 mins or until the juices run clear and meat is brown in colour.
