Atta Halwa (Wheat Flour Pudding) is very popular and common sweet dish in Indian cuisine.

Cooking Time: Appr. 20 Minutes
Serves: 2 People

Atta Halwa (Wheat Flour Pudding)Ingredients:

1 cup wheat flour
½ cup ghee (clarified butter)
2½ cups water
½ teaspoon cardamom powder
1 cup sugar
Handful dry fruits (cashews and raisins)
Some cut or grated almond for garnishing

Atta Ka HalwaCooking Method:

1. To make aate ka halwa, heat the pan and add ghee (clarified butter). Add the wheat flour and mix the wheat flour with ghee and cook it on a low heat till it turns slightly brown giving out a tasteful aroma.

2. Take water and sugar in a pan and bring it to a boil to dissolve the sugar.

3. Add the warm sugary water and cardamom powder to the wheat flour pan.

4. Keep stirring the mixture of aata halwa and add dry fruits to atta ka halwa.

5. When the atta halwa thickens turn the heat off. Garnish wheat flour halwa with grated or cut almonds.

Serve atte ka halwa warm as a pudding (sweet) dish.
