Aloo Paneer Masala is one of the easy and delicious Indian curry recipes. Aloo Paneer Masala recipe is also called mutter Paneer Aloo Masala Recipe. Aloo Paneer Masala can be used as a side dish.

Serves: 3 People

Aloo Paneer MasalaIngredients:

350 gram Paneer
3 medium potatoes
3 large tomatoes
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon ginger paste
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
2 table spoon chopped coriander
½ teaspoon garam masala
50 ml plain yogurt
Salt to taste
Water as needed

Cooking Method:

1. Peel the potatoes and cut in small cubes.

2. Dice the tomatoes.

3. Cut Paneer in small rectangle pieces.

4. Heat the frying pan and cook all paneer pieces cook it each side until it golden brown (without oil). Soak paneer in salted hot water for 15 mins, this way paneer will turn out soft for aloo paneer masala (instead of frying paneer, roasting like this makes paneer recipes healthier) .

5. Now heat the oil in the pan. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Wait until it crackles and then add ginger paste and cook it for 2mins.

6. Add potatoes, cover the lid and cook it for 10 mins. Keep stirring in between.

7. Now add tomatoes and 1 tablespoon chopped coriander and cooks it for 2-3 mins covering the lid.

8. Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and garam masala and cook for another 2-3 mins.

9. Add yogurt and cook for another 2 mins.

10. Now Paneer pieces and cook it for another 2 mins with lid on and stirring in between.

11. Add water, if you wish and cook it for 2-3 mins.

12. Finally turn off heat and garnish with chopped coriander.

Serve hot with Nan bread or chapatti or rice as a main dish or a side dish.
