Aloo Paneer Broccoli Curry is cooked with potatoes, broccoli, paneer (cottage cheese), tomatoes and spices. Aloo Paneer Broccoli Curry


1 medium size broccoli
2 large potatoes
350 gram paneer (cottage cheese)
4 large tomatoes
1½ inch ginger
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
¼ teaspoon asafoetida
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
Oil for deep frying paneer (optional)
2 tablespoon oil
Water as needed
Salt to taste

Aloo Paneer Broccoli Curry

Cooking Method:

1. Cut the broccoli in medium florets. Peel the potatoes and cut in small cubes. Cut the paneer in cubes or rectangle.

2. Boil the broccoli for 5-7 mins and potato cubes until cooked.

3. Deep fry the paneer pieces until golden brown.
Or Heat the frying pan and cook all paneer pieces cook it each side until it golden brown (without oil). Soak paneer in salted hot water for 15 mins, this way paneer will turn out soft for paneer recipe (instead of frying paneer, roasting like this makes paneer recipes healthier) .

4. Peel the ginger and chop finely or grate it. Chop the tomatoes.

5. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the cumin seeds. When the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida.

6. Add the chopped or grated ginger and sauté for a minute.

7. Now add chopped tomatoes. Stir and cook for 2 mins.

8. Add all spices and salt. Stir well and cook until oil separated on sides.

9. Now add boiled potatoes and broccoli. Mix well and cook for 2-3 mins. Stir occasionally.

10. Add paneer pieces. Stir well and cook Aloo Paneer Broccoli Curry for further 2 mins. Stir occasionally.

11. Finally turn the heat off.

Serve Aloo Paneer Broccoli Curry Recipe hot with chapatti or rice.

Variation Tips:

You can add 2 chopped onions or sliced onions before adding vegetables and saute for 4-5 mins. Then follow all above steps to make Aloo Paneer Broccoli Curry.

You can add 1 teaspoon garlic paste with ginger. Then follow all above steps to make Aloo Paneer Broccoli Curry.

You can even deep fry the veggies instead of boiling them.
