Aloo Gobi Masala is simple but delicious vegetarian side dish. Aloo Gobi Curry is cooked with potatoes, cauliflower florets and ground spices (masala).

Cooking Time: Appr. 25-30 Minutes
Serves: 3-4 People

Aloo Gobi Masala

Ingredients:

1 medium cauliflower cut into medium sized florets
2 medium potatoes
2 tomatoes
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 inch ginger
1 teaspoon chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoon coriander powder
½ teaspoon garam masala powder
1 tablespoon chopped coriander for garnish
3 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste

Aloo Gobi

Cooking Method:

1. Peel the potatoes and cut in medium cubes.

2. Peel the ginger and chop it.

3. Chop the tomatoes.

4. Heat the oil in a pan. Add mustard and cumin seeds. When seeds crackle, add chopped ginger. Stir for a minute.

5. Add potato cubes and fry for 10 mins.

6. Add chopped tomatoes. Stir and cook for 2 mins.

7. Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder and chilli powder. Stir and cook for further 2 mins.

8. Add cauliflower florets and salt. Mix and cover the lid. Let the aloo gobi fry for 5-7 mins. Stir in between. When you lift the lid for stirring, let the steam water go in to the pan.

9. Add the garam masala. Stir and cook for 5 mins. Check the potatoes to make sure it is cooked. If it is not, cook further few mins.

10. Finally turn off the heat and garnish aloo gobi curry recipe with chopped coriander.

Serve aloo gobi masala hot as side dish for chapatti, paratha or rice.
